Stephanie Resciniti
Stephanie first saw swing dancing in Melbourne at the Zoo in 2002 and was blown away by its dynamic energy. Finally, she thought, there's dancing to my favourite music!! And though that fateful experience was in January, it was many months before she actually attended her first class at Melbourne Uni. What started as a fun lunchtime activity quickly became an obsession. Unsatisfied with only one class per week, she attended as many classes weekly to fuel her growing addiction.
After only a few months of dancing, Steph boogied to Hello Dolly at her first Performance Ball, and instantly recalled the rush of excitement that performance brings. The performance bug bit her at the age of 4 with music and theatre, so it wasn't long before outdoor dancing, competitions and troupes called her name.
Though Steph loves performing, the real joy of dancing for her is communication with others on the social dance floor. When she's not dancing, Steph can be found on the edge of the dancefloor chatting about movies, books, food, interstellar travel and all sorts of random topics!
Steph feels privileged to have joined Swing Patrol's teaching team in 2007 and hopes to bring the joys of swing dancing (and occasionally party food) to the wider swing community.
