-----------------------------------------------------------
DAY 1 - Saturday June 7th 2008
Class 1 @ 12.00pm-1.15pm - Blues Body Movement:
In this class, Mike and Laura will go over the technique of effortless, expressive body movement. This will improve both your ability to move yourself naturally and musically, and move / be moved by your partner.

Class 2 @ 1.30pm-2.45pm - Blues Partnering:
We will combine some of the solo bodywork from the previous class to form complete partnered movement. This will have an emphasis in partner communication and connection. Exploring the art of leading and following.

Class 3 @ 3:15-4:30pm - Listening & Responding to your Partner:
This class will deal heavily with follower input. By the end of this class, followers and leaders should be comfortable with creating and molding a connection-conversation within the dance.

Class 4 @ 4:45pm-6.00pm - Musical Modification:
The last class of the day is all about taking what you know (and have learned earlier that day) and molding it to fit your partner, the music, and your mood.

DAY 2 - Sunday June 8th 2008

Class 1 @ 12.00pm-1.15pm - Vernacular Jazz Movement (& Bluesing it Up):
Mike and Laura will go over the technique of effortless, expressive body movement. This will improve both your ability to move yourself naturally and musically, and move / be moved by your partner. It will deal with very different body movement than the previous day.

Class 2 @ 1.30pm-2.45pm - Like a Roller Coaster:
What to make you’re blues dancing more interesting and exciting? This class will deal with leading and following like a rollercoaster. How to make your movement dynamic, expressive and comfortable.

Class 3 @ 3:15-4:30pm - 1 Person, 4 Feet:

In this class, Mike & Laura will explore the idea of ‘dancing as one’ and mainly deal with followers and leaders matching each other's basic lead follow, as well as matching their ideas about the speed, texture and dynamic of the dance.

Class 4 @ 4:45pm-6.00pm - Musical Modification & Putting it all together!:
This class is all about taking what you know (and have learned earlier that day) and molding it to fit your partner, the music, and your mood. Reflect on how much you have learned during the workshops and put it into practice!
