These two instructors are hand picked for you and flown over for Texas, USA. They are amazing all round dancers and will blow your mind (speaking for experience!). Mike & Laura are also dedicated teachers and are just awesome people too! They blend style and connection like no one else…

Who are these blues superstars?

Laura Glaess:
Laura began dancing Blues and Lindy Hop in San Antonio, 2001. Since her discovery of these amazing dances, she has traveled far and wide to learn more, MORE! She has won several Strictly's and Jack & Jills, and is best known for her energetic style and joyful sense of movement and the music, invigorating her partner and the room when she steps onto the dance floor.

She has taught across the United States, Quebec City in Canada, and has recently been seen as far away as Estonia and Toulouse to spread her love of dance and movement. More than bringing students excellent instruction and concepts, she also prides herself on being personable, winning "Most Accessible Instructor" at Lindy Focus VI. She has also recently made the discovery that, on the very, very high end, she likes cheese better than she likes chocolate. Gasp!

Mike Roberts:
Mike Roberts has been teaching since 2001 and has been dancing Blues, Lindy Hop and associated dances since 2000. He is engaging to students, dance partners, and anyone else he might meet. A great deal of Mike's success can be attributed to his vivid imagination. He admits to pretending he's a superhero like Colossus or Spiderman before he lifts weights (or his partner). It really helps your ability to Dance all night if you can leap tall buildings in a single bound. He believes that the most important things in dancing are listening to your partner and having fun. No matter how much technique you have, if you're not having fun with it, there's no point.

We are also pleased to include some of our talented local Aussie teachers as part of the optional half hour “Taster” classes at the Blues Before Sunrise weekend. Come along and make the most of learning from interstate teachers who you rarely get access to…
